Roadside views
Made over the course of several years, these photographs began as a record of passing time: views of the landscape captured from a car window by a bored passenger. Starting with multiple photographs, I recombined the images in multiple configurations, creating shifting composites from fragments of familiar scenery. The resulting works occupy a space between documentation and abstraction, transforming fleeting, incidental observations into something suspended between memory and experience. They are records not simply of places, but of looking, waiting, and passing through.
